About Vedaji //

Vedaji is a life-long practicing yogi, community builder, and teacher to thousands of souls throughout the world. With a background in the ancient lineages of Vedanta and Bhakti yoga, he was raised in a monastery in eastern India as a monk which he ultimately acted as the head of for many years. Eventually feeling the call to fulfill his soul’s purpose (dharma), he moved to the United States approximately twenty years ago to help raise consciousness in the western world. 

Now based in Atlanta, Vedaji travels the world throughout the year to lead programs, retreats, and group tours. As founder of the non-profits Food4Lives and Mindful Seva Institute, his dharma is to raise global consciousness, to assist spiritual seekers through the process of Self-realization, to eliminate the mental health crisis, and to create lasting spiritual communities (sanghas) throughout the world. Through his signature Chitta Cleanse Technique, Vedaji assists those looking to overcome harmful patterns and traumas to ultimately find their unique dharma. Through the story of Kim Hoffman, we are invited to witness not only the realities of terminal illness, but also the deep human longing for agency, peace, and a meaningful goodbye. This film does not seek to persuade through shock or spectacle; instead, it opens space for empathy, listening, and honest conversation about how we care for one another when time is short.

Kim Hoffman died in January 2022 after an 8 1/2 year battle with ovarian cancer. She fought with IV chemo, oral chemo, radiation and surgeries - all of which led to pain, debilitation and disability -  and yet the cancer spread to her liver, lung, skin, and brain. After a personal and professional life of service, there was just one thing Kim wanted once told that she only had only a few more months to live - to say goodbye to the people she loved and to then die peacefully in her sleep. 

She didn’t want to die in pain, nor did she want to die in a drugged-out state of unconsciousness. That’s why she advocated for Medical Aid in Dying (MAID), an option provided to terminally-ill people of sound mind who want to take a drug to end their life peacefully, on their own terms.  12 states in the US and Washington DC (including neighboring Maine, Vermont and New Jersey) allow their residents the option of Medical Aid in Dying, and history shows that the law is used as intended, usually by people with ALS, ovarian cancer, brain cancer, and pancreatic cancer.   

75% of Connecticut voters support Medical Aid in Dying, yet seven bills have failed in the committee since 2013.

As we sit with this story, may it remind us that conversations about death are ultimately conversations about care, dignity, and love. We hope this film opens space for thoughtful reflection and meaningful dialogue.

Standing at the Threshold :: A Visioning Circle

This visioning circle is an invitation to pause and meet yourself exactly where you are.

Rather than pushing toward goals or resolutions, we will create space to listen — to what is already moving within you, to what is asking for adjustment, and to the deeper direction that wants your attention. This is about orientation, not urgency. About making small, true shifts that bring you into closer alignment with your soul’s work over time.

The circle will be gently supported by kava, a traditional South Pacific plant medicine known for its grounding, calming, and clarity-supporting properties. Served intentionally and with care, kava helps settle the nervous system, soften mental noise, and create the conditions for clear seeing and honest reflection. It is not intoxicating and does not produce a “high,” but rather supports presence, ease, and embodied awareness.

Through gentle movement, guided meditation, reflective journaling, and spacious conversation, we will clarify what feels alive, crystallize what is asking to be named, and touch into a form of planning that is rooted in honesty and presence — not pressure or performance.

The OMies are a kirtan band comprised of Megan Mulrine and Justine Wheeler on harmonium, vocals, and kartals, Rebecca Pepitone on guitar, and Kevin Gallagher on percussion (mridangam, djembe, and more). What began as a weekly kirtan practice for Niantic Yoga blossomed into original songs, joyful gatherings, and deep friendship through music.

Together, the OMies lead blissful, heart-opening kirtan around Southeastern Connecticut and beyond. Our mission is simple: to remind all hearts of their joyful connection to the divine—and of the power of sharing your own voice.

Created by Taoist Monks, Qigong brings natural elements into our physical, emotional, and spiritual being for enhanced health and vitality.  Through gentle, flowing movements we release tension, transforming it into useful energy to be harnessed for our highest good as we move through our practice and our lives.  

From the Fall Equinox until the Winter Solstice, the focus of our practice is the Metal element with its themes of letting go of what no longer serves us, and making room for new energies. This repeated routine prepares us for the Winter and our Water Element practice, bringing increased peace and flow into our lives from the Winter Solstice to the Spring Equinox. Regular practice helps us to relax into the flow of the routine, experiencing deeper and deeper meditative, physical, and emotional benefits.

We are very excited to open up this circle for another year of growth and connection guided though the sacred tool of the Medicine Wheel. You are welcome join us to experience the alignment with the changing seasons and their natural rhythms. 

Each gathering will be focused around the teachings of Energy Medicine from the Q’ero lineage within Andean cosmology. We will engage in Shamanic guided Journeying, exercises to deepen our communications and connections to all our relations; starting within our own selves. 

We will be exploring the dynamic and multidimensionality of each archetype from each of the Four directions over the next year; South direction with Serpent, West direction with Jaguar, North direction with Hummingbird and East direction with Eagle.

Originally from Mystic, Connecticut, Tam spent three decades in New York City immersed in the study of dance, music, and rhythm. Her training embraces movement traditions of the African Diaspora, a range of Eastern and global singing styles, and the art of hand drumming and percussion. During this time, she traveled extensively throughout North and West Africa, journeys that deepened her understanding of the profound healing power of sound, movement, song, and dance—especially when experienced in community.

Join us as we dive into the Four Agreements for a monthly book study and discussion. These ancient and sacred Toltec teachings are a wonderful guide for life.

You do not need to have read The Four Agreements to participate in this first meeting. Acquiring a copy is recommended.

The format for our first meeting will be reviewing the first chapter and what the four agreements are:
